Blessed

You know...there are days when you just feel so blessed.

I've been doing this podcast now for almost 8 months now and there are times when it just floors me how into it some people can be. I mean, it honestly is an amazing feeling to know that there are people out there, all over the country (and even the world) who feel this connection with you. Who are so excited to meet you because they've been listening to you...and who you are, in their minds, I guess...a sort of mini-celebrity. It's kind of weird to think that these people are so excited to meet little old me. I'm just a dweeb who loves Disney...oh...and I happen to have the opportunity (and the drive) to talk about it weekly and happen to broadcast it over the airwaves.

Like I mentioned...it seems that just recently, things have started to grow exponentially. Here's one of the things that just floors me...we have a fan created Facebook group now. It started a few hours ago and there are already 4 people who are members. People want to chat with us, so Mike started a chat room and we're gonna schedule days to talk to people. We may even have a live show at some point! And ever since we got put on the Mousefest website...I've continually noticed our numbers gradually going up. This has the potential of being even bigger. And it's just so surreal to me.

My hope though...is that all these fans don't feel like I did when I met Lou Mongello of the WDW Radio Show...nervous, even though I know there was no real reason to be nervous. Because I'm just me...and I hope that that's how these people see me too. But it's also kind of weird to think that people could potentially be nervous (and definitely excited! I can't tell you how many are so excited!) to be meeting little old me. The girl you all know and love and probably think is a big goofball. :)

I really try to keep my geekdom in check in my life...here included. You all know that I'm a huge Disney fan...but I never truly let myself geek out as much as I could. (Trust me...I could probably be a lot worse! lol!) But I know I'd never really talked about all this with you before...and I wanted to let you in on a little of what I was thinking, simply because I can't believe it's actually happening. So thanks for listening. I really do love you all! :)

Hurry Back

So...you know how they say if you have an AP, it burns a hole in your pocket. Yeah...they aren't lying. Because of that, I'm hurrying my bootie back down to Florida!

I'm going down for Mousefest...which is really exciting, b/c I've always heard so much about it, now I finally get to experience it! I'm going down for the podcast to meet up with some of our listeners.

The best part of it...I'm going with my mom! I'm so excited! She hasn't been down to WDW since 2002 and we only did the MK...she hasn't done Epcot or DHS since 2000 and she's never been to AK. I have so much to show her! She's gonna be so worn out by the end of this trip...and come to think of it...I probably will be too. :) Another first...we're staying at Port Orleans Riverside...my first time at that hotel AND my first time where I'll really remember staying at a Moderate.

It's almost too long to wait...which is sad...I was JUST there! But it will be a totally different experience with my mom...and that...has to be the best part...it's because of her, forcing me to go to Disney that I've become the Disney lover that I am today and I can't wait to show it to her through my "Disney-colored" glasses. 42 days can't come soon enough!

More Baby Pics!

Baby Katie came home on Friday. All was well with her and we went over to my SIL's parent's house (where they are living) to visit.

It was a good visit. I learned how to feed, burp, and change a baby's diaper (I know, I have done this stuff before...but it's been a long time, and I've never really been around babies...so it was kind of a first.) The best thing that happened though, was WHF felt comfortable enough to hold her...and he liked it. :) He even asked me if we were gonna go back next Friday. I think he's hooked. :)

Here...this is my favorite pic in the world!

Baby Katie is Here!!!

So, last night we went to the hospital to see the baby...it was so great! She's so cute and precious. But, let's get to it...you all want to see pics! :)

One last look at Daddy with Katie:

Ok...since K asked for the details (and since I forgot to include them...lol!) she was born at 6:21 pm. She was 7 lbs 11 oz and 20 and a half inches long. It was a natural birth...and SIL says she is definitely not doing this more than once more now. (She wanted 4!). Her real name is Katherine Adell (not sure on the spelling of the middle name.) They think that they are coming home on Friday...but not 100% sure. WHF's parents are coming up today to see Katie and we're gonna try and go over to SIL's parent's house on Friday in the evening once things are kind of settled and Katie is home. Any other questions, just ask...I'm new with this whole baby thing. :)

Baby Update

So, I talked to WHF's mom about 2 hours ago...and she had talked to WHF's brother. She said that my SIL was 8 centimeters dialated and that she wasn't effaced yet. My MIL estimated that we had about 3-4 hours to go.

So, as soon as WHF gets here, we're off to the hospital! Yay!!!

Baby On The Way!!!!

So, I'm gonna be an aunt today!!!!

My SIL just called...she said that her water broke at 3 this morning and that she was at the hospital. Right now she's only 3 centimeters dialated. So, I guess that's what I'll be doing when I get off work today...:) I guess I'll have to wait for WHF to get off work too.

So exicited!!!! *happy dances*

Great weekend

This weekend was one of those that was absolutely fabulous. And to think, I thought it would be really crummy.

I wasn't looking forward to this past weekend for a few reasons...one, a fashion show that I really didn't want to go to but was forced to go to by my mom and two, I had to work on Sunday and realized quickly that I didn't want to. Instead, things pleasantly surprised me.

On Friday, WHF and I went out to dinner with his best friend and fiancee (another thing I wasn't looking forward to). It actually turned out ok, but still wasn't my favorite thing in the world. (I just really don't care for his best friend very much.)

Saturday, I did the fashion show, which I had to work for my parents taking pics. While I was bored a majority of the time, I did have a friend to keep me company...so that helped. The food was kind of fru-fru (chicken salad in a carved out tomato and fruit. I don't eat a lot of fruit...:( The cake was good though. Chocolatey and delish!

After the fashion show, my friend and I decided we were going to spend the day together. So, we took her half-sister and niece to a pumpkin patch. We had a blast and this place was amazing!!! We went through a straw maze (I felt claustrophobic...so, never again!), watched the goats, played on tire swings, rode a really fun zip line, and went on a wagon ride. We also picked some pumpkins.

From there, we went to the Duck Park to feed bread to the duckies. Once our bread was depleted, we went to drop off her sister and niece and then we went to make dinner.

Her family owns a produce stand, so we stopped there for some supplies and then off for home.

We made BBQ chicken, baked beans, baked potatoes, and corn on the cob. OMG! It was such an amazing meal! And the baked potatoes and corn on the cob were the best I'd ever had. Fresh produce really is SO much better. I'm definitely stopping there again! No more stale produce for me!

Once dinner was over, we (the guys had joined in by dinnertime) sat by the fire pit and roasted marshmallows and made smores. We had a really, really good time. The boys loved playing with the fire, but I think us girls enjoyed it a lot too!

Then Sunday, WHF and I went to our town's Fall Festival. It's a street blocked off and has tons of food booths, craft and other product booths, and various other things. It's a time to see friends and really enjoy the town we live in. And trust me, we did!

We brought our little fluffball with us, but she got to be too yappy at the other dogs, so I had to put her in a carrying case so she wouldn't see them anymore. WHF and I enjoyed our time walking up and down the street and seeing all the people we know.

I also found that my job wasn't too difficult, as all I had to do was find people to interview...which is harder than it looks!

I'm so glad this weekend was better than I thought it would be. I was really dreading it. Now I'm dreading this weekend coming up...I know for sure this weekend will be an all working one. :( And definitely not as fun as this last one...for sure.

Project

Well, I have a new project that I'm supposed to be working on. The city I live in has a promotional video of why you should live in this city...and it's severely dated. (We're talking early 90s footage in there!)

The problem...they needed it like yesterday. The other problem...I have to get all exterior shots before the leaves start falling off...this could be a challenge, as I basically have to re-do the entire video and I have a ton of shots I'll need to get. At least 20 different areas...and only until the leaves start to turn to do it in. Eek!!!

I'm excited to do the project though. I haven't done a project like this in so long. And I get producer credits for it...which is pretty cool. Another thing to add to the resume I'm not using at the moment.

I'm hoping to make this turn out amazing. So, while it's a little daunting of a task...I'm excited about it, nonetheless.
