I'm Back

Well, I'm back from an awesome vacation!!! I had really great time. It was so nice getting to spend it with friends, meeting new people, and being with WHF. For those of you looking for a Trip Report...click here I started it today.

I'm Going to Disney World Tomorrow!!!

So, one day left.

My bags are pretty well packed. I've just got to add the electronic devices I end up taking (video camera, cameras, DVD Player, mp3 player...you'd think I was going on a month long adventure!) and I have to add the toiletries that I'll be using in the morning and I'll be good to go.

I have no idea how I'm gonna get through today. What was I thinking when I scheduled to leave for this trip a day after a wedding. I am going to have little to no concentration today. Aack!!! Bad idea!!!

Anyway...I'll see you all...when I get home from sunny, beautiful Florida!!!

It's Done!!!

Well, the porch is just about finished and I have to admit...it turned out pretty darn well! I'm very pleased and so proud of the work WHF (and his friend) did. I can't wait to get to sit out there and enjoy it!

Not Too Shabby

So, so far, so good. They worked until the early morning hours (don't know how they did it!) and things are looking good.

I didn't take any before pics, but know that the entire floor in my porch was concrete. And it had oil stains all over it! This is a much better improvement. :)

Am I Crazy?

So, tonight, WHF and his best friend are laying tile on my porch floor. This is something I'm very scared to let them do. I mean it's tile...I'm hoping beyond hope they don't screw it up. It's not something that can be easily fixed if they do. lol! Although from what I've been able to see of what they've done so far, it's not looking too bad.

The good news...I'm leaving to go to the Lake this weekend. So, I won't have to be around for the process. The bad news...I'll be gone and will have to wait til when I come back to see if it looks like crap! lol.

I am thankful that I am getting my porch finished though. It's been bugging me to no end to have just concrete, on, what will be, a very nice porch. The perfect place to go sit during these fall days that are unfortunately coming. I'll show you all pics when the project's finished. :)

10 More Days!!!

So, I only have 10 days and I can have my real vacation!!!

But yet, there seems to be a lot I need to do.

I still need to go to the store and buy bottled water and some snacky items. (M&Ms will be a must!) I also need to finish up my laundry because I have a few shirts in there that I want to wear on vacation that are not "vacation ready." (IE...clean) I also haven't really done any packing...except for some of the food I've bought and swim suits. I figured I could put those in there since it's too cool to swim here right now. I guess those are the major things I need to do.

I'm excited b/c I finally got my Magical Express tags. I knew it wasn't imperative to have them, but really wanted them, so it's glad to have them in my hands.

I also would like to scrapbook a little more before I get going. But, that's just probably not gonna happen a whole lot. lol!

Luckily, my week and a half should fly right by. Thurs and Fri, I have to work. Saturday-Monday, I'll be at the Lake. I'm going with my best friend and we're getting to be models for this photography thing my parents needed models for. I get to wear my wedding dress again! Thank god I still fit into it. Monday night: work a council meeting. Tuesday: work. Wednesday: my day off, so I'm sure that will include last minute shopping and such. Thursday and Fri: work and Saturday: wedding. Once that wedding's over, then I'm officially on vacation!!! Yay!!!

Leavin' On a Jet Plane

Edit: I'm a loser, who doesn't know what day it is. I would be leaving tomorrow. lol!

Well, right now, I would have been on a plane to California. I'd be on a nice long vacation, instead of going off to work.

I'm a little sad. Mainly because I really don't want to do go work today. I felt as if I accomplished nothing yesterday and am not looking forward to what's in store for me today. I'm also sad, b/c, well, I'm not going to California. But, I'm sure, someday, I'll get back there. The timing just wasn't right.

And all things considered with this trip and the fact that I wasn't super excited about it...it's an odd feeling to know I'm feeling sad about it. I guess, in some way, I really was looking forward to going...I just couldn't tell.

Oh well, only 15 more days and I'll be in Florida. That will have to do.
